Since eternities daan has its own relevance in our Indian culture. Be it a daan of food, shelter, physical help or anything. In India, every religion, every custom, every segment believes in daan. When you give food to hungry, it satisfies its hunger, when you give shelter to a homeless; it gives him warmth for a night or two, when you give physical help daan to a person; you are helping him finish the task. But; when someone gives Vidyadaan (Knowledge sharing), you are changing the person’s life not just in terms of standard of living but the art of living is changed. Everyone know how Gautam Budha’s vidhyadaan to a dacoit Angulimar changed his life and a dacoit emerged as Swami Valmiki who wrote Ramayana.

Education has its own charisma in one’s life. It can change the person’s persona and take out a polished gem out of a raw stone. It has the power to make an illiterate to rule the world. Education has everything possible to make this world worth living. This is why during old time our elders used to say “VIDYADAAN-SAMPOORNA DAAN”.

ABOUT VIDYADAAN

This national program is a call to the nation, particularly individuals & organizations across the country to contribute e-learning resources in the education domain to ensure that quality learning continues for learners across India.

Contributions can be made by individuals, teachers, educationists, subject experts, schools, government and non-government organisations etc after registering & nominating themselves.These contributions can be of different types of content such as explanation videos, teaching videos, practice questions, competency-based items, lesson plans etc. for any grade from 1 to 12 and for any subject as specified by the states/UTs under their respective projects. Such contributions must be open-licensed under the Creative Commons license framework and can be curated by the respective states/UTs & CBSE and those contributors whose content is accepted and finds high usage, will be duly recognized

CCMB Virtual Open Week(Quiz, Art and Essay competitions)

Hope you are all well.

The sessions will be conducted in English and open for the students above 12 years of age.Competitions like Quiz, Art and Essay competitions will be conducted.  Link to register in the competition is given in the below.

Amid the COVID-19 grim and monotony, we bring you a lot of excitement with our first CCMB virtual Open Week( http://tiny.cc/ccmbopenweek) via our Jigyasa programs.

Taking advantage of online sessions this time, we have a long line up of a variety of engagements with you all. You get to interact with our scientists, discuss some cool science that we often ignore in our daily lives. We have amazing panel discussions on issues of the present and future relevance. We have a lot of fun competitions for you to participate in. And most importantly, we want you all to become our partners in talking about science with your near and dear ones.

Our sessions will run from 21-26 Sept. Each day will have multiple sessions starting from 10 am till 6 pm. The sessions will be conducted in English. We recommend the sessions for those above 12 years of age.

About Quiz

    As a part of ‘Shikshak Parv’ celebration, an online quiz competition on National Education Policy, 2020 will be organised by the Ministry of Education from 5^th September to 25^th September, 2020 in order to create awareness among all stakeholders including Students, Teachers, Parents, and general public.

NEP 2020 is the first education policy of the 21^st century, which aims to address the many growing developmental imperatives of our country and is aligned to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The National Education Policy, 2020 is built on the foundational pillars of Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability and Accountability.

NEP 2020 recommends many transformational ideas for education sector which will have an impact on every citizen; therefore, this quiz has been designed for giving valuable information and better understanding of crucial recommendations of NEP 2020.

Terms and Conditions

1. The quiz will be in bilingual format i.e. English and Hindi.
 
2. Duration of the quiz will be 5 minutes (300 seconds), during which a maximum of 20 questions can be answered.
 
3. Certificates will be issued to the top 10 participants.
 
4. There will be no negative marking for the incorrect answer.
 
5. Only Indian Citizens aged 14 years and above can participate in the quiz.
 
6. An individual can participate only once in the quiz.
 
7. The criteria for selecting successful winners will be “Maximum Correct Answers in the Shortest Time”.
 
8. Any individual who desires to participate in the quiz will be required to provide his/her name, date of birth, correspondence address, email address and mobile number.
 
9. The same mobile number and same Email ID cannot be used more than once for participation in the quiz.
 
10. Participants can view their score after the last date of the quiz.
 
11. Discovery/detection/noticing of use of any unfair/spurious means/ malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation, double participation, etc. during the participation in the quiz, will result in the participation being declared null and void and hence, rejected.  The organizers of the quiz competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserves the right in this regard.
 
12. Employees, directly or indirectly, connected with organizing the quiz are not eligible to participate in the quiz. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate family members.

READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

• This is a timed quiz with 20 questions to be answered in 300 seconds
• These questions will be randomly picked from the question bank.
• Winners will be adjudged on the basis of maximum number of correct answers.
• In case of multiple participants having given same number of correct answers, the participants who take the least time to complete the quiz will be adjudged the winner.
• You can skip a tough question and come back to it later.
